Academic Experience: I graduated from Colorado State University with Cum Laude Distinction in May 2016 and received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Health Promotion and a Minor in Business. The curriculum for this program of consisted of two practicums and a 15 credit internship. The first practicum was with Adult Fitness in Fort Collins, CO and the second was at McKee Medical Center, in Loveland, CO; both are described below. I did my internship portion of my undergraduate career with the Oregon Public Health Division Immunization Program. During my internship I worked on HPV vaccine related activities and launched the first ever statewide HPV Round table. It is now formally called the "HPV Prevention Alliance".Professional Experience: After my internship with the Oregon Immunization Program, I joined the program for two years full time, working as a Compliance Specialist with the Vaccines for Children Program and continued to leverage HPV vaccine related activities across the state. After two years I moved to working at Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) to enhance my public health knowledge. I currently work at OHSU for the Oregon Rural Practice-based Research Program (ORPRN) where I am a Project Coordinator. At ORPRN I have worked on a variety of projects including hypertension control, social needs screening and the main one, the Rural Adolescent Vaccine Enterprise, funded by the American Cancer Society. With this project I help rural and frontier clinics across the state with improving HPV vaccination rates and creating partnerships within their communities to leverage their adolescent immunization rates. In my current role as a Project Coordinator, I oversee two contracts from the Oregon Health Authority. Please reach out if you would like to learn more!
