I conduct field-based investigations into environmental crimes, using a methodology of research, inquiry, identification, examination and collection of data. Some investigative tools I use include: supply chain mapping, follow-the-money, legal framework analysis, and maritime satellite tracking. I produced a short documentary about irregular migration from West Africa to the EU as a result of an ongoing crisis in the fishing sector. This involved collecting first-hand testimonies and undercover naval footage in the Canary Islands and Senegal.

My primary task was to help develop CIR’s external communications strategy, including for its first Open-Source Film Awards in Perugia, Italy. I also wrote long- and short-form digital content for Afghan Witness and Sudan Witness, including an article on rising reports of femicide in Afghanistan.

I was in charge of field-producing live broadcasts with anchors and correspondents. In October 2023, while covering the EU security summit in Granada, I organised travel logistics, produced sit-down and door-step interviews with heads of state, foreign ministers, and bank CEOs, and produced live shots on the ground. Other stories I covered include Spain’s 2023 general elections, the Bank of England’s interest rate decisions, the IMF Conference, and COP-28. My portfolio spanned the corporate sector across Spain, U.S., Latin America, and the Nordic region.

My primary responsibility was to produce short-form documentary episodes for the YouTube series Decade of Hate and War on Drugs. One episode I co-wrote, co-produced, and for which I conducted interviews, delved into how cartels in Mexico use social media for recruitment and its impact on journalists. This project drew on my +2 years of research on narco-trafficking and its effects on press freedom in Latin America, which I carried out as part of my master's thesis at the University of Oxford. I directed the production from pitch to publication, including producing the in-house studio shoot with professional lighting, camera, and audio, as well as overseeing post-production.

I packaged and edited content for over 20 million daily users on CNN.com, as well as 3 million TikTok followers and 15 million YouTube subscribers. Using DOMO, Google Analytics, and A/B headline testing, I optimized audience engagement and helped grow CNN’s online viewership.

I co-wrote, fact-checked, researched, and published news alerts with the Director of Coverage, Senior News Editors, Field Producers, and Correspondents to CNN.com. I assisted produced one of the first live interviews with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy after the outbreak of Putin’s war in Ukraine. I also helped cover the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan, the attempted poisoning of Alexei Navalny, and the killing of former al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, amongst other stories. During the first year of COVID, I reported from Spain and Italy.

I helped organise broadcast logistics for interviews including with former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Chef José Andres, and International Rescue Committee CEO David Miliband.
