• Held two titles & responsibilities, both as Vice-Consul (Commercial) for Singapore Consulate based in Chengdu, as well as IE Singapore Centre Director for West China.• Performed consular duties and helped resolve Singaporeans' Commercial disputes.• Handled Sichuan earthquake disaster and crisis management, including media, ensuring safety of Singaporeans, earthquake relief, reconstruction of schools and charity donations. • Facilitated Singapore-based companies into West China (Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, Shaanxi, Xinjiang, etc), including finding project opportunities, introducing local partners, government advocacy, missions, etc. • Built up good relationships with local government officials, associations, and large local Chinese enterprises.• Facilitated Sichuan companies to expand to Singapore, both setting up RHQ, GTP, and potential listing. • Singapore-Sichuan Trade and Investment Committee to boost bilateral economic cooperation. • Pioneer in bringing the formation of the g-g project of Singapore-Sichuan Hi-Tech Innovation Park in Chengdu.• Managed Chengdu Office daily operations, and HR, Admin & Finance functions. • Consistently hit and exceeded KPI targets for the past three years for West China, despite the earthquake & economic slowdown, elevating Singapore's position to the 3rd largest foreign investor, and 1st in terms of foreign investment country in Sichuan & Chengdu in 2009.
