I work across 2 groups and 9 projects in 2 main roles. My first role is to share stories from the disability community. I do this by producing content that feature first person stories – mobile videos, written stories, or short audio clips.My second role is to edit and schedule content for our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn) and Mailchimp e-newsletter.Achievements:• Learnt video production and editing skills quickly, which led to a role change where I started producing mobile videos independently (includes planning, filming, editing and captioning)• Key lead for creation of new interactive website for SKILL project. I coordinated communications between the Projects team and web developers, provided advice on website functionality and design, as well as filming and editing of 8 videos within 1 month

I helped Unhitch with their social media - managing their Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest accounts, by creating original content and ensuring that social media posts are in line with the brand values.Main Responsibilities:• Planning and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, IG Stories and Reels• Writing of blog articles • Creation and curating of Pinterest account for Unhitch, which involves creating Pins containing original content, and organising of Pins that contain similar content into boards to keep the Pinterest account professional-looking• Monitoring social media statistics to plan improvements or make changes to social media strategy, which involve growing our number of followers and getting more engagement (increased customer sales and brand awareness)Achievement:• Planned and managed our first Facebook campaign for Brand Ambassadors to wear our outfits at Ultra Australia 2020. This involved creating a video ad using photos from our library, creating ad campaign for Facebook and Instagram, set up of a contact form and landing page on the Unhitch website and tracking of campaign analytics to fine tune the advertising process. I obtained 25 leads at a cost of $1.68 each after 2 weeks, which was a GREAT achievement considering this was our first campaign.

I manage Lara Jezeph's Yin Yoga for Beginners Instagram account. She offers yin yoga classes in the Glenelg region aimed at beginners, to improve flexibility, relieve stress and help others become happier people overall. Main Responsibilities:• Copywriting and scheduling Instagram posts with Planoly app to keep the Instagram grid looking professional• Monitoring of social media data and using data to make changes to the strategy Achievement:• Successfully grew Instagram followers by 25 in one month, with 50% growth in post engagement

In my role at SARDI, I provide laboratory technical support for a project that uses the molecular tool CRISPR-Cas9 to generate a Queensland fruit fly (Bactrocera tryoni) strain in the laboratory for sterile insect technique (SIT) applications. The knowledge from my biochemistry/biotechnology background is relevant to me in understanding the theory behind the experiments conducted, and thus I am able to problem solve technical issues. Main Responsibilities:• Perfomed genotyping assays of B.tryoni lines through conducting and troubleshooting of molecular methods including DNA extractions, DNA quantification and purification, polymerase chain reactions (PCRs), gel electrophoresis and restriction enzyme digests• Reared and maintained laboratory fruit fly cultures for molecular experiments• Prepared and maintained research data in the form of records, protocols and results, in written and graphic form (sketches, diagrams)• Prepared laboratory samples for molecular experiments by collecting and freezing specimens• Maintained laboratory supplies by monitoring usage and making up chemical solutions• Management of biological waste by autoclaving and ensuring proper disposal• Management of project budget and procurement of laboratory equipment and supplies (maternity leave cover)Achievements:• SARDI Waite Seminar Series 2017: Demonstrated good communication skills by giving a presentation on creation of a B.tryoni strain for SIT purposes using CRISPR-Cas mutagenesis, and providing details of the screening process for this strain • SARDI Molecular Science Workshop 2018: Enhanced my public speaking skills by providing an overview on CRISPR-Cas mutagenesis applications for SIT purposes

I was involved in the research project: "Flying doctors - Bees deliver biological control agents to flowers", led by Dr. Katja Hogendoorn. The aim of this project is to investigate the effectiveness of using bees to deliver a biological control agent (BCA) as a sustainable method of managing grey mould in strawberries and cherries. Prior to this job I knew little about plant diseases. However, I adapted well to learn new knowledge and produced successful results in experiments. I am highly confident that my ability to adapt enables me to rapidly learn new skills in any role.Main Responsibilities:• Operated laboratory equipment and used sterile and molecular techniques to determine delivery of a fungal BCA for managing grey mould in strawberries and cherries• Analysis of photographs of soil of organic and conventional farms • Identification of grey mould (Botrytis) and other fungi from collected fruit samples

I provided regulatory support and handled multiple projects, in the Pet Care and Fabric-Home Care business units. The key skill I learnt from this experience is time management. Since I was responsible for different projects concurrently in a fast-paced, high pressure environment, I created an Excel spreadsheet to plan and prioritise tasks for each project. As a result, I completed the tasks for each project within the deadline and received excellent feedback from my direct supervisors.
