I'm the founder and CEO of Lou&You, an impact startup based in Berlin that applies digital technologies & innovation against gender-based violence. At the heart of everything we create is Lou: the first digital companion for people who are affected by violence. Lou guides them on their journey towards a self-determined life. Lou is a web-app that provides them with personalized information, contacts and revolutionary technological tools - from uploading digital evidence to court-proof documentation and anonymous communication with help-services. I founded Lou&You to empower people affected by violence, to create a deterrence effect for potential perpetrators and to ultimately reduce instances of violence sustainably. Because violence is nothing inevitable. Our society simply hasn't created the means yet to actually reduce it and the entire help sector hasn't been digitized yet.Lou&You was funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Action (BMWK) and a foundation. Together with my co-founder, I was awarded for Lou&You by the German Government as Kultur- & Kreativpilotin 2021.
