Driving cross-disciplinary research and innovation in machine learning across neurology,biomedical engineering, neuroscience, and computer science: Epileptic Seizure Prediction,Neuromorphic Computing, Brain-Machine Interfaces, Cochlear Implant Research,Computational Neuroscience.* Technical lead and scientific co-lead of IBM’s first crowd-sourced competitive deep learning challenge: Lead implementation of deep learning software kits for the participants and co-developed challenge strategy.* Lead and co-lead internal and external client engagements and projects leading to high-quality research publications.* Co-designed and co-implemented a convolutional neural network based mobile, neuromorphic system for seizure prediction; published a co-first author paper in The Lancet’s EBioMedicine (a top medical journal).* Contributed in developing research proposal for an Industrial Transformation Training Centre in Cognitive Computing and received a grant of AUD 4.1 million from the Australian Research Council.* Inventor on 6 patents in the space of machine learning / health care.

During my time at the University of Hanover, I was given the opportunity to work as one of three people in a start-up company developing a near-field communication platform. Apart from being involved in a broad range of activities, my main focus was circuit board design.

At the Sennheiser research centre in Palo Alto, I was responsible for the development of an automated measurement system to determine the directional properties of microphones involving planning, software development, and GUI design in Matlab.
