This innovative program transcends disciplinary boundaries, integrating expertise from science, engineering, humanities, business and law. Trainees develop advanced technical knowledge of climate impacts and solution pathways — along with professional skills for interdisciplinary collaboration. I oversee all aspects of daily program administration and delivery. In this role I assist with student applications and selection; monitor trainee participation throughout the program; and assist with curriculum development. I’m responsible for planning, organizing and promoting CCSL events, liaising with several partner organizations, program budgeting and post-award grant reporting.

Managed small team of staff at a new, award-winning cidery on the Saanich Peninsula. Responsible for daily operations; including tap-room management, food service and guided tastings. Oversaw applications to farmers markets and co-facilitated market events. Back-of-house tasks included cider production and product packaging; completed inventory for provincial liquor distribution reporting.

Roots to Roofs collaborates with Indigenous communities on autonomous, resilient, and high-performance community infrastructure. I worked with the office of Community Engagement on tracking project deliverables, community outreach and general administration, including the delivery of funder reports.

This competitive program offers a unique leadership experience – students work in interdisciplinary teams to develop projects that promote sustainability on UBC campus. As a member of the Circular Economy Team, I coordinated project planning, management and implementation of the Circular Economy Data Visualization Event. My team and I worked alongside staff from Campus + Community Planning facilitate student engagement with live data provided by UBC Waste Management to foster critical engagement with historic and current trends in UBC’s Waste.

Resilience Environmental Solutions is an independent consulting firm, specializing in capacity-building for community resilience. During this internship, I assisted with community consultations (conducting interviews) and researched technical standards for high-performance housing and clean energy infrastructure in First Nation communities.
