My time on placement was split between two services, Staff Support, and Specialist Weight Management. One of my main tasks was data entry and updating databases from client questionnaires and discharge files. For weight management I made sure the databases were up to date, I input data from questionnaires onto SPPS for further data analysis which I got involved in for the annual report. SPSS was also used when processing discharge files for staff support.I prepared resources for the staff support resilience training sessions and the weight management groups.I regularly shadowed clinicians in Weight Management; I often attended the initial assessments of patients. I have observed a weight management group that ran over six months and also pre & post-bariatric surgery groups.In Staff Support, I observed resilience training, acting as a participant which then led to running a block of resilience training sessions alongside a psychologist. Within this, I spoke about topics like the negative bias of thinking, how we can use mindfulness, the benefits of it and spoke through mindfulness activities.Another project that I have been involved in is the department's stress risk assessment. Along with one of the psychologists I put together the survey for the risk assessment, collected this data, collated the responses and helped produce a report. I also conducted miscellaneous tasks e.g. literature searches.
