Communication happens in every single relationship you have. Whether that's a relationship between you and a coworker, you and a spouse, you and a child, or you and a parent. All of these relationships are unique in themselves, but you will undoubtedly communicate in some way with all of these people. I have dedicated my life studies to understanding how people communicate and how to help people best optimize their own communication strengths while fostering the skill to have empathy for the person they are communicating with. The first step of empathy is understanding, to understand we have to listen. I have more than five years of experience in the service industry with a focus on empathy for the customer experience. I'm currently completing my master's in psychology with a focus on community and trauma care. As I continue my studies, my dedication to making sure whomever I talk to is heard and that they express their needs or concerns is always honored. The most important thing to remember is that we are all human.
