Project Development Officer
CurrentWorking on the Uniformed Youth Fund, a project funded by the Department of Digital, Culture, Media & Sport, aiming to increase the number of Cadet spaces on offer with St John Ambulance to young people in local communities, so they can learn life-saving first aid skills, build relationships, develop confidence and join a 100-year+ legacy of first aid, training, and saving lives.I manage partnerships, community engagement, cross-team co-operation & project development in Sussex, Surrey and Kent, along with convening the Special Events workstream, leading local but large-scale events to coincide with our national campaigns - including Restart a Heart, and International Women's Day.Key duties include:- Personally facilitating growth, support and stabilisation across 32+ Units across 4 Counties- Developing and facilitating individualised District Project Strategies, with key targets, actions & necessary adjustments depending on local needs- Organising resources and materials to support equality across the region, ensuring all Cadets have the resources they need for a safe, engaging session- Organising local and large-scale engagement events, and overseeing a budget of £thousands.- Generating localised recruitment materials for high engagement, across multiple content design platforms- Facilitating & nurturing external partnerships - with local Councils, charities, museums, schools, Trusts, and other key stakeholders, for development opportunities & legacy commitment- Researching local opportunities for growth and exposure - to increase volunteer workforce, Cadet opportunity and grants- Developing key internal relationships - including workplace training and fundraising, to unify the organisationTop 3 achievements:- Engaging 100,000+ members of the public at events, including events at the Amex and Emirates Stadiums- Over 100+ spaces so far created for young people- Saving 50+ spaces from closure by organising training and development for volunteers
