Assist in implementing the City's watershed management and stormwater quality compliance programs to comply with Federal and State water quality regulations and promote environmental education and awareness within the community of Oceanside.

Helped in achieving NPDES Permit compliance for stormwater inspections within the City for the Watershed Protection Program. Acquired extensive knowledge of environmental policy regarding protecting our watersheds. Organized and developed outreach materials such as social media posts for Earth Day, Coastal Cleanup Day, the roll-out of residential food scraps recycling, and informational posts about recycling and disposal services offered for residents.

Investigating the prevalence of mislabeling of elasmobranchii in the markets of Baja Mexico. Currently have extracted DNA of muscle filets from over 100 samples, conducted PCR analysis, and have run gel tests. This research contributed to my senior thesis, “What is “mantarraya”? Aninvestigation of the composition and conservation status of rays sold in markets in Baja,California Sur, Mexico.”

Part of a growing company that promotes a healthy lifestyle, as an assistant manager I had the responsibility of keeping track of selling product, manage training new hires, and ensured customer satisfaction by utilizing excellent customer service skills. While doing this I also had to work simultaneously on every position in the restaurant including: cashier, making food, cleaning, and opening/closing duties. Often I was expected to work alone which enabled me to gain the ability to efficiently multitask.
