I am currently pursuing a degree in Biology at St. John’s University, driven by a profound passion for medicine. Off campus, I am the lead medical assistant and assistant manager at Dr. Gregory Martocci DO, PC, a pediatric office. Additionally, I actively contribute to the Emergency Department at NYU Langone Hospital Long Island, where I am gaining firsthand experience in patient care and emergency medicine. On campus, I am the event coordinator for the St. John's University Women in STEM Organization and serve as the chairwoman for the Health and Wellness Branch of St. John's University Student Government Inc. My enthusiasm for healthcare extends beyond my academic and professional responsibilities; I am eager to explore volunteer opportunities, engage in research projects, and pursue internships that will further deepen my understanding and commitment to the field of medicine. My ultimate goal is to make a meaningful impact in healthcare while continually expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve patients and communities.One of my most cherished roles is being an older sister. Being an older sister has shaped me with qualities such as compassion, empathy, and responsibility, grounding me in values that guide my interactions and decisions. Art has always been my sanctuary. I began my journey as a dancer, and in high school I discovered a newfound passion for drawing, painting, illustration, and design; avenues through which I weave stories and emotions into visual art forms. Music is another cornerstone of my life. My musical tastes span widely, from the grandeur of the Met Opera to the electric energy of events at Madison Square Garden. Beyond the arts, philosophy fascinates me. I spend much of my free time engrossed in philosophical papers and publications, exploring ideas that challenge and expand my understanding of the world and my place within it.Balancing these passions with my role as an older sister enriches my life, fostering a deep appreciation for creativity, intellectual curiosity, and the bonds that connect us all.
