My name is Isabella Sciullo and I'm currently a Graduate Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer at Buro Happold. Throughout my academic career, I have been actively involved in various organizations, including the Society of Women Engineers, Penn State Thon Boulevard, and Penn State Engineering House. As a Construction Standards Intern at Crown Castle, I made significant contributions by developing and presenting a redesign concept for a foundation structure that yielded a major cost reduction for tower foundations. I also performed a CFD simulation to support a cost-savings analysis for over 50 tower sites. As a Quality Assurance Intern at IAM Robotics, I developed new processes for quality inspections for existing parts to improve efficiency and workflow. I also developed and implemented inspection plans for over 200 purchased parts and created dashboards for multiple departments in support of data analysis to better identify potential problems for future production.I was also recognized as a Finalist in Senior Year Capstone for my work on the Philips Reliability Tester project, where I designed and manufactured a test rig to perform life cycle testing on Philips' Ultrasound cable to determine durability and fatigue failure points.
