Recently received my Data Analyst Google certificate through Merit America. It was very helpful in refining my SQL, Tableau, R, Google bigQuery and Python skills. My most recent job was a silvicultural intern for J.D. Irving. In this internship I led a team which planted over half a million trees in 4 months, and also set up scientific plots over all these areas. Using the programs R and FVS I modeled the fatality trends of saplings over different conditions and species, then presented my findings to the company VP.This led me to my current career path as a data analyst. I have worked many different jobs looking for the “right fit”, and while they all had pros and cons, it wasn’t until my job with JD Irving that I realized the pro they all had in common was revealing insights and making impacts with data. After seeing how useful data analysts are in every industry, I decided that the data was what I was really passionate about, and where I was going to spend my time building my future career skills. No matter the industry providing the data, I am ready to show them what that data means and what it can do for them.
