• Developed for the MongoDB Go Driver, an open-source library providing synchronous interaction with MongoDB and BSON support, used extensively by internal teams and imported by 3400+ other Go packages• Designed, implemented, and documented new API to improve community adoption by easing transition from the unsupported community driver to the official driver, including a compatible BSON registry for parsing records and an improved error API• Contributed to specifications shared across the Drivers team (12+ languages) and implemented them in Go, including support for sharded transactions, SRV polling, and AWS IAM authentication• Wrote the Go Driver Client-Side Operations Timeout design to merge the functionality of the general Drivers specification with the conventions of the Go language• Implemented a customizable system to increase observability of background monitoring goroutines for users• Worked with both internal and external users in JIRA, Slack, and the community forum to triage bugs and support their projects

Worked collaboratively as part of the C++ Driver with other teams on implementing new server features and with another intern on creating a new benchmarking suite to test performance
