I am a North Carolina State University Poole College of Management Alumni. I have a concentration in entrepreneurship, and a minor in Horticulture. While I was enrolled at NC State University, I completed courses centered around: business start-up, funding, budgeting, marketing, plant propagation, and landscape design. My greatest passion is fashion. My interest in fashion first sparked while working as a retail associate for Monkee’s of Raleigh, a high fashion women's boutique in the North Hills area. For me, clothing is a way to express yourself and there is nothing better than the feeling of putting on the perfect outfit. I fell in love with the idea of learning how to create stylish, unique, and fun garments that people will put on and feel unstoppable in. With learning the basics of operating a successful clothing business as a short term goal, my long term goal would be eventually creating a line of my own. I am currently working as the Design & Product Integrity Assistant for Johnnie-O. Some of my tasks include collaborating with the design team to execute tech packs for seasonal products, coordinating swatch lines, measuring and reviewing garments for quality and sizing, and coordinating sample details between Raleigh and Los Angeles. Working alongside not only the Design team, but also the Production team, allows me to see all the steps that go into creating a successful seasonal line. My greatest skills include communication, organization, and task management. I am someone who enjoys personal interactions and getting to know others. One of my core values in a career is being able to work with people. My impeccable organization skills allow me to stay on top of tasks and be ahead of deadlines. When given a task, I will complete it beyond my best ability and in a timely manner.“If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.” I think this is such a valuable concept to think about daily and it is something that relates to my work style. With such a vast amount of technology and resources at my fingertips there is no reason that a task should not be completed to my best ability.
