As I’ve grown into the young adult I am now, I have always been passionate for school and eager to learn, constantly searching for opportunities to obtain new knowledge and improve as a student. Entering university as a first-generation college student is not the easiest process, but my experience has encouraged me to face more challenges and discover who I am as a person. I plan to graduate in May of 2026 with a B.S. in Accounting. I am fortunate for this opportunity to receive an education and further my knowledge, as well as have found a passion for accounting. Recently, I joined the UMassD Collegiate DECA Club in hopes of gaining experience solving business-related case studies alongside fellow members. I aim to join more organizations to contribute to my campus as well as the community, alongside continuing my service in the Africa Teacher Foundation, a non-profit organization.Overall, I am satisfied with my decision to pursue accounting, and I am looking forward to gaining experience and acquiring new skills within this field.
