While producing content for Output, I write scripts and edit video to construct the top stories of the dayfor broadcast. This includes producing packages from correspondents in the field, as well as writing andcommissioning graphics. The role has allowed me to work closely with editorial staff in planning how toput together a sequence to best tell a story, and then execute this with the creative teams, includinggraphic designers and video editors.When in the role of Assistant Programme Editor, I’m also responsible for sub-editing scripts and ensuringcontent is up to the highest quality for broadcast. I’ve also been responsible for building and outputtingbulletins from the gallery, including organising a live schedule with reporters, and managing breakingnews during broadcast.

I am responsible building a rundown of content, and assigning stories to a team of Output Producers, sub-editing all scripts, graphics and video for every element of our hourly news bulletin at great speed. This includes building and outputting a summary of our top stories from the bulletin.As Programme Editor for Playback, TRT World’s half hour weekly review programme, I was responsible for building, writing, editing and outputting the programme to showcase the channel’s best journalism from that week. I also commission interviews, and additional content from correspondents in the field, In this role I also planned, produced and outputted two one-hour end of year specials highlighting our correspondents biggest stories of the year. As Programme Editor for Newsfeed, the channel’s daily show about how people on social media and the internet are responding to international news, I am responsible for building, determining and assigning content, then outputting the the show. In this position I plan future content, manage a team of staff end ensure the show abides by the channels legal and editorial guidelines.
