Multi-platform storytelling was my mainstay – producing compelling content across radio, television, online and other digital channels. Finding the news stories of the day and getting them to air on radio and online to over 100,000 listeners.Developed strong editorial judgment on deciding what is newsworthy and wrote stories for air that were pitched by Communications and PR managers. Key Achievements• Covered one of the worst bushfire disasters on record with emergency broadcasts to listeners. This meant scrapping the stories of the day and working closely with the fire brigade on distilling the information that was immediately relevant and appropriate sheltering locations. This involved broadcasts every fifteen minutes over a four-hour period to 200,000 locals. • During my time at the ABC I wrote and produced 340 radio stories involving a mix of live crosses, street voxxies, pre-records and phone interviews.
