As a Step-Up Manager, I oversee daily operations and goals, manage inventory, lead cash management, support staff, and ensure excellent customer service in our store.

Each shift at Best&Less varies, involving interacting with customers at the registers, assisting customers on the shop floor, collaborating with coworkers, or maintaining the tidiness of the shop floor.

In my role within the NAVIGATE program designed by Deakin’s Disability Resource Centre (DRC), I guide and support students with Autism as they navigate university matters. In our weekly meetings we aim to uncover any challenges that were experienced, such as socialising in class, or preparing for assignments, and finding ways to solve them. Over the trimester, I aim to instil enough confidence in participating students to navigate university independently.

As a disability support worker for my client with Down Syndrome, I am dedicated to empowering them to thrive independently in their daily life. My role involves assisting with a range of tasks, such as household chores, establishing and maintaining routines, and developing effective communication with others. Through this, I hope to foster their self-reliance and independence, helping them achieve their personal goals every step of the way.

I choreograph group dances for students spanning ages 5 to 17 years, incorporating a diverse range of dance styles, including Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, and Hip-Hop. In our weekly classes, I aim to give students the skills and confidence to grow in their dancing abilities, enabling them to perform confidently at our school's annual concert, where I assist as backstage crew.

In preparation for the St Leonard's school concert in October 2023, I and my coworker prepared, choreographed, and taught a total of 22 dances for a school of approximately 260 students. Each dance was carefully choreographed to cater to the unique capabilities and grade level of students, ranging from Prep to Year 6 level.
