Isabella Webb is the Project Manager, a Spatial Designer & Research Assistant in the XYX Lab. In these roles, Isabella supports the senior research team in coordinating the XYX Lab across a range of projects, alongside undertaking research and design roles across varying projects, which support and develop her interdisciplinary skillset.Isabella gained her Bachelor Degree in Interior Architecture from Monash University in 2017. The XYX Lab’s research into the gendered production of space affords her the opportunity to expand her individual practice and knowledge of spatial design alongside her current research interests.Isabella has worked on a wide range of research projects, presentations, and bespoke workshops in varying capacities within the XYX Lab. Her recent contributions include the co-curation and design of the HyperSext City Exhibition at the Tin Shed’s Gallery in Sydney, that drew attention to the experiences of women*, girls and LGBTQI+ communities by presenting data and intersectional narratives of gender, alongside the 2019 coordination and co-design of the Built Upon by Design Symposium which hosted international researchers and designers in Italy. Isabella continues to assist in the data analysis and visualisation for Free to Be and its subsequent manifestations. Isabella has also coordinated and designed several exhibition proposals internationally and nationally with XYX team members.
