As Camp Manager for a summer camp for primary school children (ages 4-11) in Surrey, I was responsible for creating and delivering fun, engaging activities and ensuring that the kids were having a good time in a safe space. I was in charge of first aid, child welfare, was the point of contact for the parents and was responsible for three members of staff. During this time I gained valuable skills such as how to deal with challenging behaviour from children, how to be thrifty and inovative with resources due to budget restraints, and how to manage a team of staff in a fair and effective way. Most of all this job has allowed me to grow my self confidence enormously and I feel very proud that I was successful in running a happy and enjoyable month-long summer camp

Whilst working at the café I was a highly responsible member of staff. As well as waitressing and cleaning, I was also able to develop my leadership and decision-making skills as I was trusted to run the café when my managers were away. This included setting up the till and inputting sales data for that day, ordering new stock, receiving deliveries as well as my usual duties of delivering active and efficient customer service in a fast-paced environment. In charge of training new employees, I was responsible for making sure they settled in without any problems. Happy working as part of the team I established positive working relationships with my managers and coworkers.
