Conduct research for Professor Henry-Dixon in libraries, archives, and online to help with her research for her historical projects and writings.Help provide the research and some of the technological aspects of her public history projects, such as application testing, to finish in a timely fashion.Manage my time independently to provide assistance to Professor Henry-Dixon to do research all over Toronto to provide her with the requested information more efficiently and directly.Increasing proficiency in researching on multiple forms of record keeping, from archival books, to microfilms, to online research to streamline Professor Henry-Dixons research process and provide synthesised information on all those types of records to her.

Collaborate with a larger team to organize, pull, and provide archival materials to provide timely and friendly customer service to those doing research in the archives. Experience with the rules and organization of The Clara Thomas Archives & Special Collections to be able to start with tasks straight away without much instruction.Giving experience in handling and storing multiple types of fragile and archival materials to ensure they stay in the best condition possible.Multitask when working alone to both manage the archival materials researchers are looking for, help with any researcher’s needs, and to organize large sets of data in ongoing projects to ensure that no researcher gets subpar service while managing other projects.

Experience researching regularly in the Archives of Ontario and learning their rules and organization methods to quickly understand and follow different archival regulations.Ability to search for and choose relevant information for Michael Moir’s research project to provide primary information to him in a timely manner.Experience organizing the research using different technological programs according to the project needs and keeping track of large amounts of data to provide information in the most efficient way.Self-motivated to perform research tasks in a timely fashion while working with Michael Moir to ensure that the research is applicable and to adjust my research style if needed to be more effective for the project.

Developed new research techniques, such as using Google Lens, to better research historical objects from around the world that produced informative object labels and didactic panels for a temporary exhibition.Learned proper handling techniques for different materials when cleaning and inspecting historical objects to create condition reports that informed the safest way to display the objects.Collaborated with the curation team to make exhibition decisions, such as discussing the sizing of collection catalogues, which produced more detailed programming proposals that were approved by management.Gained experience in exhibition planning by observing the curation team and planning an exhibition with their help, which resulted in an exhibition proposal that they kept as a potential temporary exhibition.
