As a ‘third culture kid’ raised travelling the world and experiencing a myriad of cultures, which undeniably influenced my current kaleidoscopic self, dance remained my universal language, connecting me to a multitude of diverse communities. In 2008, I left home to pursue this calling at the Royal Ballet School, then at the English National Ballet School, where I was honoured to cherish wonderful developmental opportunities, including competing at the Prix de Lausanne, and winning the Silver Medal at the Genee (now Margot Fonteyn) International Ballet Competition.In 2014, I was accepted into the English National Ballet and have since been selected as a finalist in the Emerging Dancer Competition in 2015, 2016 and 2017, after which I was promoted to First Artist, toured across the globe, most notably at the Paris Opera and the Bolshoi Theatre, and worked closely with illustrious choreographers including Akram Khan and William Forsythe. As an avid and active advocate for the transformative impact dance has on society, I first sowed the seeds to my leadership journey in 2017, collaborating with artistic charities Anno’s Africa and OneFineDay to deliver ballet workshops in slum communities in Kenya, and extending this through collaborations with the French Cultural Institute in Brazzaville, Congo, to organise African dance and ballet exchange workshops and performance platforms. These endeavours were a huge catalyst for my vision of the transformative opportunities for cultural, educational and societal development this art-form provides on a global scale, propelling my development in the cultural sector.I was honoured to be elected as ENB’s 2021/22 Dance Leader of the Future delegate, during which I attended enriching courses at the Cranfield School of Management, shadowed our various departmental directors, developed my pedagogical skillset and passion for early talent development through close collaborations with our Ballet Futures scheme and refined my vision for the future of dance. I have also completed my MBA Essentials course through the London School of EconomicsAs an avid aficionado of London and the UK’s kaleidoscopic theatre and arts scene, I also developed my love of writing through part-time writing and reviewing with the Dance Europe publication. Additionally, I completed Diplomas in Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology via Stonebridge College, obtained the Rising Leaders Fellowship at the Aspen Institute UK in February 2023 and was honoured to be selected as a Trustee for the London Vocational Ballet School.
