German International Ethnographic Film Festival

Interned 400 hours for the 16th bi-annual German International Ethnographic Film Festival, remotely and in-person during the festival (24.5-30.5). Responsibilities prior to the festival included– writing and translating the English biographies of the selected filmmakers, including research on the Internet and communicating with the filmmakers via email; collecting data regarding the films such as webpage, Facebook page, trailer of the film; and collaboration with festival directors and other interns in the management of the festival's Facebook and Instagram pages. Responsibilities at the festival included– documenting the festival with photos; selecting photos for public relations/social media; managing the Facebook and Instagram posts & stories; moderating 2 discussions with filmmakers following the screening of their films; assistance with hybrid discussion management on Jitsi; assistance managing the festival café, including food preparation, customer service, inventory, and managing volunteer schedules; assistance with registration in the festival office; adjusting audio/lights for films and discussions; and assisting festival directors with other tasks, as needed.
