Future generations deserve new heroes who challenge the status quo and change what needs to be changed. On the contrary, I want to be a driving force behind this change for good. I'm a woman, a mother, an engineer, a citizen… It's with all these hats and all this experience that I'm fully committed to my role as changemaker. As CSO of the CFE group, I have the opportunity to contribute to major projects that have a major impact on the planet and the community. But this ambition cannot be achieved alone. It is together that we will have the greatest impact. Partnerships are essential if we are to meet the major challenges of today and tomorrow.As Robert Swan so aptly put it, "The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it".I have a degree in civil engineering. For 17 years I gained experience on large construction sites. There I learned the heart of the business (the technical side), but also the importance of working together and treating all the people in the value chain with the same respect.Thanks to my training at Vlerick, I learned the importance of staying true to myself and my values.I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and convictions and expressing myself in public. I do this with great pleasure when speaking at public conferences or seminars, or giving a few hours of lectures at university.Finally, as a woman in a man's world, I've learned to be strong, but also the strength to be vulnerable and human, and to embrace differences. As an active member of the CBFI, I hope to be a role model for young women in the industry.
