I am a recent graduate of California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor's degree in English education and a minor in Journalism. My academic background has granted me fluency in literary analysis, linguistic anthropology, and culturally responsive educational techniques. I also studied curriculum in the field of public relations, internet law, and multimedia journalism. The amalgamation of these courses has allowed me strength in skills of written and oral communication, interpersonal relationship building, and research and analytics through the completion of several literary and social research projects. I hope to continue my educational career in Museum Studies or Public History in the near future. I have a combined 3+ years of experience in customer service, and 2.5+ years working in educational settings as a Youth Development Professional at the Boys and Girls Club and Volunteer Coordinator at DCOC. I am eager to apply these skills and experience to an educational position within a museum or historical site setting.
