I am a scientist with 15 years of work experience at the interface of research administration, research development, and strategic planning. My long-term goal is to help advance research by being a research faculty ally at the institutional level. I have developed a strong expertise in competitive research funding and grant writing, with a focus on the development of large-scale grant proposals. At Mila, I bring to the management team a unique perspective on academia and fundamental research, which is critical to informing strategic decision-making. Having joined the institute as it was being launched, I contributed to building research development services from the ground up and I created an array of support systems for faculty members and Mila’s Scientific Direction. I have been working in a number of domains (biology, engineering, robotics, AI), which provides me with a broad perspective on academic research.
