I am passionate about leading groups of people towards improving the environment. I am currently serving as Chief of the Environmental Impact Assessment team of the National Capital Commission (NCC). Our team's mandate is ensuring projects in the National Capital Region are carried out while minimizing significant adverse environmental impacts, and maximizing environmental benefits and sustainability via environmental determinations under the Impact Assessment Act, for which my team is directly responsible. As such, we influence and support environmental decision making of projects and programs through robust and reliable analysis that accommodate regulators, project teams and management. I have a combination of technical, regulatory and leadership skills, earned throughout 20+ years of professional experience, 16 of which within the federal government, with significant experience in leadership roles over complex environmental programs. I enjoy leading change and seeking opportunities for improvements within our process, our organization and our regulatory environment. I am fluent in 3 languages (French, English (EEE), Spanish).I'd be happy to mentor people looking to develop their leadership, management skills, and/or overcoming challenges, particularly around living with disabilities or chronic pain, and neurodiverse conditions.
