During the Summer of 2019 I had the pleasure of aiding Dr. Christina Mule and her research team in transcriptions for the Clinical trial project: Understanding Disparities in Shared-Decision Making among patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this role I learned a lot about the research process and my interests in looking at disparities in the care of patients with disabilities

Responsibilities in this role include shadowing and project-based work within the division of developmental-behavioral pediatrics under a pediatirician and her fellow

Worked under an RN to support the various medical needs of campers with developmental disabilities including pouring and passing medications, first aid, aiding with evals, and attending to certain special needs such as seizure conditions. Earned over 600+ patient care hours!
