The Earth Charter is an ethical foundation for a more just, sustainable, and peaceful world. Developed in a worldwide participatory process it drives a global movement and paradigm shift highlighting that 1) respect & care for the community of life, 2) ecological integrity, 3) social and economic justice, and 4) democracy, nonviolence, and peace are interdependent. This holistic and systemic approach is giving the social-ecological transformation the much-needed dimension of consciousness. As an education project manager in the German Earth Charter coordination office, I have several main functions: First of all, I am organizing and conducting trainings to spread the message of the Earth Charter. Those consist not only upon classical lectures and discussion rounds but are spiced up with some movement, theater-pedagogical or deep ecology methods to fully embody the holistic approach. In this way, we are following the newest research of how multifaceted experiences have a greater learning impact. Second of all, I coordinate our Earth Charter volunteers - the participants of our training. We work in a multiplicatory style meaning that those participants are invited to organize their own Earth Charter events after completing the training. In that way, I am involved in a broad spectrum of developing new educational strategies, material, and event planning. Further than that, I have various other functions in the editorial team of our magazine, doing PR for our events including social media management, supporting with project proposals for our funding or in the general management of our small association.

As a Coach for Sustainable Development, I am organising all kinds of education projects to raise awareness for the world's most pressing challenges. It is important that kids experience nature and learn through empathy and empowerment that it is not too late to establish a regenerative culture on our world. I am constantly learning about new methods and techniques how we can touch people's hearts with this topics. I got the certificate 'Einfach ganz anders' from the Young Friends of the Earth Germany and the EINE WELT NETZ NRW, to teach ESD in schools with the main topics water, climate, consumption and food. Most of my projects I offer for schools but I also cooperate with different NGO's and do programmes for them sometimes. I also conduct consumption-critical city tours, in which we explore the city through sustainability glasses and learn about different challenges and how to face them. Typical stops are for example in front of a zero-waste shop - first we learn about plastic and its effects on our environment and then we explore the alternative straight ahead. This is the typical structure of my projects, as I want the kids to learn in a playful way that all of our behaviours add up to the bigger picture and that they are able to change the world.If you want to know more about my education projects or have a certain topic in mind for your group, do not hesitate to contact me so that we can think together about a creative way of learning.

AGREEn is a foundation run by students for students. Our goal is to connect students to parties that are interested in improving their sustainability. We work with the Radboud University, Companies and local government on specific sustainability isues. As a member of the organising support team I am involved in event planning, marketing and internal organisation. During my time working for the Road to Rights Europe, I learned a lot about project management, event organisation and leadership. Together with some inspiring changemakers we started this great initiative to promote Human Rights and Sustainable Development. Working together with an international network of youth helped me, not only, to grow professionaly but also personally through intercultural experiences and team work. Starting something new requires perseverance and strength. I am glad to have been part in this great organisation, which started orignially in Sri Lanka and won the UN SDG Action Campaign Award 'People's choice' during my time in the project. As we all moved forward with our path and I started to study abroad, we decided to pause our engagement for now.

Spinnen-Netz is a professional network operating in the Non-Profit, developmental policy and international cooperation area. It offers job opportunities for their members but also organizes networking events and workshops with specific topics such as 'Self-organisation' or 'Freelancing'. As a regional coordinator, I organized those meetings in the area of Cologne but also supported the network during conferences or professional fairs and could continuously explore the field of organizations working in these areas.

BUNDjugend NRW or Young Friends of the Earth Germany is a youth-led NGO active in the area of social and environmental justice. Creative campaigns, protests and education projects shape their work.During my internship I was assisting in the ESD project 'Einfach ganz Anders – schools for sustainability' and learned a lot about project management from PR and fundings to event organisation and member administration. The approach of the BUNDjugend is very participatory and opened enourmos new perspectives and topics for me, personally and professionaly.

My research project: 'Water potential of three different Quercus species in the tropical cloud forest' challenged me to work totally self-organised under simple conditions in the tropical cloud forest of Costa Rica. I gained an insight into the Costa Rican culture and agronomy with its diverse habitats and environments.
