About Isabelle Scott

I am a final year PhD student at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, with a strong background in mathematics and health. My interdisciplinary background and strong health literacy has allowed me to apply mathematical techniques to data analysis in unique and innovative ways. As a result, I have developed multiple collaborations and projects with industry partners in health care. I am currently partnered with Imaging at Olympic Park (Melbourne Australia); I have developed and am finalising the implementation of an AI tool for the automatic recognition of unhealthy tendon images under ultrasound. I am also a member of the Oxford Centre for Industrial and Applied Mathematics and an associate student of the Industrially Focused Mathematical Modelling Centre for Doctoral Training. As part of my PhD l I undertook six months of intensive coursework in mathematical modelling for industry. Throughout my PhD I have also participated in workshops in which we engage with industry partners - helping to both reformulate their problem and identify potential solutions.
