Project Engineering, Execution, Field Engineering, Quality Assurance and Control, Continuous Improvement

Provide design, technical and priority direction to staff and assigned engineers to projects. Maintain close liaisons with Engineering & Asset Management teams that provide specialised support to all Toronto Hydro Asset Categories. Cultivate strong working relationships with other specialised teams across Toronto Hydro including design, system planning, maintenance, operation and execution teams. Review and monitor project safety to mitigate risk, ensure compliance with current regulations, policies, standards and procedures, and initiate improvements, resolutions and/or preventive measures. Facilitate and manage relationships with contractors, manufacturers and suppliers to ensure performance and products/services meet their contractual obligations. Ensure distribution work complies with Ontario Regulation 22/04 and ESA Guidelines and Bulletins.

Lead the corrective works stream of Maintenance Planning. This includes the day-to-day operation of the critical Work Request Desk function and associated corrective maintenance and reactive capital programs. Manage high performance maintenance engineers, analysts and students; Liaise with management to report on maintenance planning and work request desk (WRD) key initiatives progress; Oversee continuous improvement in the tactical maintenance and health monitoring of in-service distribution system equipment and managing asset performance risks through major operational processes.

Manage deficiencies as a result of planned maintenance and reactive maintenance by ensuring that the right priority is assigned to the deficiency and that the timelines are met.Enhances the efficiency of electrical distribution equipment and reduces energy costs by keeping them running more effectively.Extends the useful life of assets by decreasing the need for premature capital replacements.Improves budget control as the sourcing of spare parts and labor can be planned in and purchased more economically in advance.Improves analysis and reporting to help determine new maintenance strategies.Improves compliance with health and safety requirements.SAP super user to create PM notifications as well as PM orders to ensure a corrective action is assigned right away to address a high impact deficiency.

Engineer working in the compliance and quality department. Schedule and perform supplier quality audits, perform equipment failure analysis and generate reports, schedule and perform receiving inspections at warehouses and suppliers facilities.

Responsible for the coordination of the technical activities on the Mina Cobre Panama project. Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate assigned engineering work; monitors work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and ensures effective communication and coordination between all disciplines. Also ensure that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied.

Project: Hydro Québec Gentilly-2 Nuclear Plant; Québec (Plant Refurbishment)Responsibilities: Prepare and revise Design Change Packages and Design Changes Notices for the nuclear turbine bypass valves.Key achievements:•Successfully performed thermal stress analysis and calculations for heat exchangers for the Class 1 Piping Support and exceeded the project schedule time frame by two months and met budget
