EU External Policies Lead in the Directorate for Impact Assessment and Foresight- Responsible for policy development and research on the transposition, implementation and enforcement of EU external action (policy, instruments, spending programmes) in support of the oversight of relevant European Parliament (EP) committees/subcommittees: International Trade (INTA), Foreign Affairs (AFET), Security & Defence (SEDE), Human Rights (DROI) and Development (DEVE); - Coordinator of Ex-Post Evaluation Unit contribution to the Committee of Inquiry into Money Laundering, Tax Avoidance and Tax Evasion (PANA);- Present studies authored before the competent parliamentary committees, the European Commission, other EU organs, and think tanks in Brussels and across Europe;- Lead contributor in the EP to the setting up, carrying out and successful completion of the EU’s horizon scanning pilot project developed in the context of the EU’s inter-institutional strategic foresight capacity (ESPAS) (2021-2022);- Design & carry out training on the EU foreign and security policy and on diverse aspects of EU better regulation, impact assessment & parliamentary oversight;- Monitor developments in impact assessment & the legislative cycle in the European Commission;- Organise, present & moderate EPRS events, as needed;- Develop evaluation methodology on EU foreign and security policy and engage in peer sharing with European and international partners;- Design and manage research projects, and evaluate EP procurement contracts;- Horizontal responsibilities: Transatlantic relations; relations with think tanks/experts; EU better regulation.- Supervise Robert Schuman trainees & junior policy analysts.

Conducted fieldwork in former crisis regions in Macedonia and interviewed relevant stakeholders to assess progress in international rule of law programmes.

- In the context of the European Commission 5th Framework Programme (FP5) and its project “Bridging the Accountability Gap in EU Defence & Security Policy - ESDP Democracy”, researched, presented papers and published on peace support operations, EU action in the Western Balkans, EU civilian crisis management and international police missions; - Co-organised (with United Nations Unit, in UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office) and co-authored the proceedings of a Wilton Park conference on international post-conflict police operations.

- Developed and taught undergraduate course on study skills and exam preparation techniques; - Provided individual tutoring to undergraduates facing learning difficulties.

Conducted research in the former crisis regions in northwest Macedonia to interview relevant stakeholders and map activities on security sector reform.

Designed and taught seminars of undergraduate course ‘Strategic Studies’ (compulsory course on current security issues for the ‘International Relations and Security Studies’ degree).
