Areas of involvement include: negotiation of a multi-million dollar contracts with life science customers, optimization of the corporate structure of the group and inter-companies practices, deployment of a contract life management solution, legal analysis and strategic guidance of a multitude of topics such as project structure, contract law, ITAR classification, corporate governance, coordination of outside counsels and strategy of litigation.

Lead the legal and contract management team for the US and Canada. Key achievements:• Negotiation of a CAD1 billion turn-key concession (PPP) opportunity for Infrastructure Ontario in Ottawa including a 30-year maintenance service contract.• Participated to the development and strategy with equity partners, engineering firms and civil work contractors for various billion-dollar light rail vehicle manufacturing and maintenance concession projects in Puerto Rico, Edmonton, DC, Arlington VA and Maryland.• Provided day to day support on topics such as public procurement with transit agencies, compliance and competition law, employment law matters, real estate, litigation, licenses and other intellectual property matters.• Managed and lead the department including 16 lawyers and contract managers. Key achievements:• Preparation and co-negotiation of multimillion-dollar tenders and contracts all over Asia and Australia for rolling-stock, signaling, turn-key, and service projects involving technical, labor, environmental, and contractual issues, in particular in India with Indian Railway, in Taiwan with the DOT, and in China with the MOR;• Built and lead an organization including which grew from 3 lawyers to 6 lawyers and 25 contract managers and contract administrators, taking into consideration the various business needs across the region, business partners expectations, team knowledge and skills in order to achieve a certain performance goal.

• Provided legal assistance to the various business units of ALSTOM including rolling-stock, maintenance, and passenger-information sites for government contracts with municipalities and local authorities totaling several hundreds of millions of dollars.• Collaboration with the American Public Transportation Agency (APTA), participating in the elaboration of standard RFP and IFB outlines for use by regional transit agencies.

• Provided cradle-to-grave contract management expertise to the various business units of ALSTOM in the US and Canada. Identified and advised project and executive management of contractual risks and mitigation strategies concerning multimillion-dollar contracts, claims, and counterclaims.• Developed and implemented internal policies: retention of documents, signatories. Provided training to management, buyers, commodity managers, and contract managers.

• Responsible for legal support of the signaling site providing support in tenders, HR, tax, insurance, intellectual properties, R&D matters. Contract administration of a portfolio of international projects of several millions of euros.
