Completed 96-hour hands-on Clinical Research Coordinator in protocol, development/standard operating procedures, data entry, patient recruitment, conducting interviews and surveys, study design, developing proposal and survey on Qualtrics and REDCap

Worked on a team that produced a yearlong curriculum for 2 cohorts of 10 high school students focused on college application process, financial aid, SAT/ACT prep, personal statements, extracurriculars, etc. I connected students to affordable/free resources for college success.

I organized and executed weekly meetings to support mentee in classes, academic related decisions, and extracurriculars. I also connected mentee to campus and community resources.

As a researcher in the Sanii Lab, my goal was to develop a methodology to successfully produce compatible silicone fibers on a micro-scale. As a team, we were able to characterize the fibers’ ability to act as a chemical-sensing, multi-mode fiber optic using ImageJ analysis and spectrometer. In this position, I co-authored a publication, presented at a national conference, and trained new lab members.

I supported students in their understanding of lecture material and assignments and adapted explanation methods to best address the needs and learning styles of the student.

I ensured students followed proper safety precautions and general chemistry lab techniques, supported the lab instructor 4-hour weekly laboratories, and graded student reports.

I checked-in and answered questions from patients upon their arrival to the vaccination site. I supported RNs in administering COVID-19 vaccines by distributed over 200 vaccines/ hour to nurses in a timely and CDC compliant manner.

Oversaw a team of college volunteers teaching science lessons in classrooms of grades 4-6. I researched, developed, and taught engaging science lessons using affordable materials.

Organized and advertised community health events focused on promoting reproductive health and wellness within the Los Angeles Latinx community.

I participated in a research project that aimed to understand how biochemical environments influence the fate of stem cells. I created biochemical and mechanical gradients on hydrogels by adjusting UV exposure and studied cells by preforming histological stains. I imaged with fluorescent microscope.

Leader in camp activities. Teach kids ages 5-13 the fundamentals of sports.
