Hello, I am a senior at Auburn University majoring in Apparel Merchandising with a minor in Business. I am currently a marketing and inventory associate at Therapy: An Auburn Boutique. I entered into the workforce in 2017 as a vet assistant at Dekalb Animal Hospital. There I was able to understand and grow my education in animal health. I was able to assist in emergency situations, surgical procedures, medication distribution, animal testing, and other areas. This has cultivated my passion for animal health and allowed me to build relationships with patients and clients that have lasted for 7 years. I began working at Therapy Boutique in 2020 as a freshman at Auburn. I began as a floor worker which allowed me to understand the importance of balance between customer satisfaction and product management. From there, I became a shift leader, which gave me the ability to manage higher transactions and overall more responsibility. In 2022, my position changed again to product and merchandising assistant. This position allowed me to see another side of business through wholesale shipments and quality assurance. I was able to receive products from wholesalers and determine if they aligned with their invoices as well quality standards. My position has now grown to marketing and inventory associate. This position entails social media marketing, e-commerce sites as Shopify, and connecting with customers through personalized emailing lists. This has required me to stay ahead of trends in the market to determine what is best for our clientele. I have had the opportunity to attend AmericasMart in Atlanta to determine new inventory, as well as hire workers to promote our clothing through photoshoots and social media. Altogether, I am extremely grateful for the opportunities in animal health, as well as marketing and sales. Both have allowed me to cultivate work experience that I am passionate and more knowledgeable of.
