Isabel brings over 13 years of experience as a sustainability professional in the food and agriculture industry. Her work spans the United States, Brazil, China, the Netherlands, and Indonesia, where she has managed projects in multilingual and cross-cultural business settings. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the World Economic Forum Tropical Forest Alliance. She is an endorsed advisor for the SAI Platform’s Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) and a member of the Climate Bonds Initiative food and agriculture value chain standard. She has served as an advisor for the Chinese Ministry of Ecology & Environmental FECO, as lead author of several green value chain reports in regards to soft commodities and company guidelines. -Living in China for over 12 years, with proficiency in mandarin, she has witnessed the development of the green and low carbon transition in China, working with NGOs, government ministries and companies in the greening of China's agri-commodity supply chains primarily focused on soy, palm oil and livestock supply chains.-Isabel’s passion for nature, food, and agriculture began in her childhood in Belém, a city at the mouth of the Amazon River in Brazil. Growing up with a close connection to the rainforest inspired her to focus her studies and career on environmental sustainability.
