Schneider Electric, Fall 2021 (Capstone project)– Advised Schneider Electric on a plan to reach net-zero emissions across its own operations by 2030 as part of a four person team of graduate student consultants.– Collaborated with the sustainability and engineering teams, as well as external experts, to identify the most viable technological solutions for scope 1 decarbonization and modeled their cost savings and emissions reduction potential.– Developed a comprehensive set of recommendations for near-term action and presented our findings to corporate executives.Yale University and the City of New Haven, Spring 2021– Explored options for Yale to invest in clean energy deployment in New Haven to support their carbon reduction strategy as part of a three person team of graduate student consultants. – Produced a report that evaluated the economic, equity, and environmental attributes of various project ideas, ranging from electric vehicle charging infrastructure to municipal building electrification.– Presented our findings and recommendations to leaders within Yale University and the City of New Haven.

– Led a team of six to create digital content showcasing work from this leading scientific research center as my work-study position in graduate school. – Ensured that all content met editorial standards and best practices for climate communication.

– Hosted webinars on clean energy technologies and policy opportunities with the recipients of innovation seed grants.– Shared regular updates and event invitations with clean energy solutions providers and end-users in the Yale network.

– Engaged with leading businesses to advance energy-related strategies for a net-zero carbon energy system. Primarily supported a working group of companies focused on decarbonizing industrial process heating, which accounts for 29% of global final energy demand. – Led data collection and analysis and co-authored a WBCSD and BloombergNEF report that points industrial end-users towards markets with the best conditions to support the transition to renewable heat solutions. – Designed a report rollout strategy that included presenting the key findings to over 300 industrial end-users, writing a blog post, and promotion through social and earned media.The full report is publicly available and linked below:

Select projects are summarized at a high level:– Organized large corporate buyers of renewable electricity to engage in state-level policy advocacy efforts, which led to improved markets for wind and solar power procurement. – Directed the external launch of the leading coalition for companies that are committed to scaling up renewable heating and cooling at their facilities, which was then named an “organization to watch” by GreenBiz.– Led project management and strategic communications for a multi-year campaign to promote grid modernization and expansion, which resulted in increased recognition of the benefits of a macro grid and the adoption of proposed policy solutions. – Managed external messaging and supported federal and state policy engagement efforts for the leading alliance representing the combined heat and power and waste heat to power industries.– Developed an assessment of pathways for involvement in climate policy for a multinational manufacturing company that was ultimately presented to the CEO. – Provided program support for the sustainability and energy management committees at a trade association representing leading retail companies.

– Participated in this highly selective fellowship program that equips working professionals with technical knowledge of the clean energy sector and leadership development training.

– Worked directly under the Water Policy Director to conduct research on Atlanta's water policies, draft memos, and attend meetings and conferences. – Contributed to fundraising and planning efforts for large events such as the Back to the Chattahoochee River Race & Festival. – Took on the additional role of lab assistant and became involved with the Neighborhood Water Watch team, collecting samples of Atlanta's urban streams, testing the water quality, and uploading data.
