This committee leads projects such as administering the application and review process for existing financial programs, evaluating and improving existing financial programs, and organizing events to provide financial skills and resources for members. Conducted and analyzed interviews, surveyed stakeholders, reviewed outputs of scientist networks, and compiled a report of findings. Provided justifications for science policy stakeholders on whether supporting scientist networks is a valid investment of resources, and produced a set of best practices and recommendations for new networks and network managers. Presented findings at AAAS Annual Meeting, Meridian Science, and UNITAR.

The Fellowship is designed to support students from underrepresented groups who demonstrate an interest in the microbial sciences and seek mentorship in navigating their career trajectory. Fellows are matched with a team of mentors and participate in skillset training, structured mentoring, community building and networking activities at ASM Microbe. Fellows then become peer mentors at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS) for undergraduate students in the microbiology discipline and serve as ABRCMS session moderators. Finally, selected fellows will be invited to serve as an ASM mentoring ambassador to incoming FLMF cohorts and an ABRCMS judge
