As a member of the team in charge of elaborating the basis for education on sustainable development (ESD), I am in charge of managing a fund dedicated to professors from pedagogical higher education schools who want to develop innovative teaching approaches and methods on ESD.I facilitate the network of professors involved in ESD and contribute to the anchoring of ESD in skills education.

During my PhD studies, I worked as course assistant in mathematics and development economics, and provided consultancies for Intercooperation, notably designing a monitoring system for savings and credit projects, evaluating a savings and credit cooperative in Mali, summarising an international e-discussion on development finance.

As an economist in the research department, I did applied research on Nitlapán’s rural credit program, e.g. impact of access to loans for small scale farmers and their families, savings behaviour and demand for savings services, client satisfaction, household economy. I designed and conducted household surveys of up to 400 participants. I provided technical advice on accounting, financial monitoring and projections during the setting up of two rural community banks.

I did research on cross-border trade exchanges between Latin American countries and conducted field work on the quinoa value chain in Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru.
