Teaching students processes and methodologies of parametric design and digital fabrication. The developed classes were focused on computational modeling and prototyping in Laser Cutting Machine, using Rhino 3D with the Grasshopper extension. Some basic concepts were approached of surface generation, curve intersections, data list, NURB curves and customization of the fabrication process.The studied object of the Workshop was a gridshell and it was held at Casa Firjan in Botafogo from the initiative of the Laboratory of 3D Models and Digital Fabrication (LAMO) and the Postgraduate Program in Urbanism (PROURB) of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of UFRJ (FAU-UFRJ).
