In my role as conflict adviser to the World Bank- Assisted humanitarian Fadama III program in three Northern states, my responsibilities include designing and implementing value–addition scheme that equipped poverty-devastated rural farmers with innovative post-production techniques and skills that enabled them to integrate processing and marketing value chains into their enterprises. The program was rooted in the idea that given the opportunity, hardworking men and women even in the poorest places can generate income, jobs and wealth for their families and communities. . Also, in my role as Advisory Service provider to the DFID-Assisted social protection YouWin program my responsibilities include developing and implementing business-based poverty reduction program which had the objective of encouraging hard-working and innovative youths to develop business ideas and engage in entrepreneurship toward being self-reliant, self-employed and responsible citizens.
