In my current role at the Nassar Lab, I am working on a project focused on visual attention in decision-making. This research investigates how individuals integrate multiple sources of information when making decisions, challenging traditional Bayesian models by examining the tendency to rely heavily on a single source of information. Key responsibilities and contributions include:- Collecting and analyzing data using an eye-tracking system to explore gaze patterns and their impact on subjective probability estimation tasks.- Investigating how participants interact with various information sources, recording where and for how long they focus during decision-making tasks.- Contributing to the interpretation of findings to enhance our understanding of decision-making processes and their implications in real-world contexts.This experience has deepened my knowledge of cognitive neuroscience and provided me with valuable skills in data collection and analysis.

In my role as a Peer Counselor within the MPC (Minority Peer Counselor) program, I am dedicated to addressing and raising awareness about the barriers that challenge minority students' success in a diverse academic environment. Our program focuses on supporting students of color, particularly those who did not participate in the Third World Transition Program.As an MPC, I am assigned to several first-year units where I act as a resource and mentor, providing guidance on issues related to the student of color experience. I collaborate with Residential Peer Leaders to implement workshops addressing critical topics such as class, race, sexism, and homophobia. Additionally, I help new students navigate campus resources, ensuring they have access to the support and information needed for a successful transition to college life.Through these efforts, I aim to foster an inclusive and supportive community for all students.

I had the opportunity to work on the planning for a dynamic multi-day festival and awards ceremony in July 2024, overseeing logistics, participant experience, marketing, and sponsorship.Within this project, my responsibilities include researching and drafting event awards processes, and ensuring a seamless recognition system. Additionally, I'm developing a comprehensive city guide for participants, enhancing their overall experience during the festival. This role aligns perfectly with our commitment to fostering an intergenerational movement of Redesigners for Justice.
