LiveLife Therapy Solutions Inc. helps to provide individuals with assistive technology to assist with daily tasks in an individual’s natural environment. OT, SLP and PT collaborate to find creative solutions for individuals via state waiver and grant funding sources. My personal interest areas of assistive technology include adaptive video gaming and alternative device access.

Inpatient Spinal Cord Injury UnitAssessed and evaluated veterans to determine level of independence and functional status using formal assessment and screening tools to inform plan of care.Provided evidence-based individual and group client-centered therapy focusing on pre-functional strength and coordination, compensatory strategies, functional activities, community reintegration, family training, and use of adaptive equipment and durable medical equipment to increase veterans’ independence and quality of life. Additionally completed caregiver training sessions to ensure safe transition to next level of care.Actively participated in weekly interprofessional team meetings, reporting and assessing patient progress and prognosis as they related to therapy goals and plan of care.Actively participated in the assessment and evaluation of various manual and power mobility options including adaptive sports equipment.Developed an in-service presentation focused on pressure relief scheduling using a smartphone application.

Outpatients Adult Neuro RehabilitationEvaluated patients' rehabilitative needs using formal assessments including the Fugl-Meyer Assessment.Actively participated in Driver Readiness evaluations and interventions using an off-road driving simulator.Developed individualized treatment plans and goals to deliver appropriate therapy.Aided patients with improving visual, motor, and sensory management through client-centered and evidence-based interventions.Collaborated with and trained caregivers in techniques to promote increased independence and safety in daily occupations.Developed an interactive in-service presentation focused on adaptive video gaming.

Fed and assisted patients to eat and drink while following proper swallowing and food thickness protocol. Documented and reported observations of patient behavior, complaints, and physical symptoms to nursing staff. Provided physical support to assist patients to perform daily living activities, such as getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the toilet, standing, walking and exercising. This included knee-to-knee transfers with a transfer belt and various lift transfers (e.g. Hoyer, two-assist, one-assist). Efficiently recorded vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration rate, as directed by medical or nursing staff.

General student supervisor for the Stadium Operations department at TCF Bank Stadium - The home of a Division-I football team and campus events hub.Efficiently completed general labor tasks, cleaned offices, prepared event spaces, supervised small and large-scale events.Primary customer service point of contact in the stadium. Trained new employees and ensured that events and general labor tasks were held to a high standard along with helping clients with any requests.
