Hydraulic fracturing is the process of pumping pressure down a wellbore, with acid, to extend wireline perforations into the pay zone of shale plays while using water, friction reducers, and biocides to transport sand into the perforations to keep the shale from closing. This creates an opening in the lithology that allows oil/gas to escape the high pressures in the rock, by migrating towards the lower pressures in the wellbore.I have worked with production companies such as EP Energy, Murphy Exploration and Production, BHP Billiton, Sabine energy, and Chesapeake Energy.
