Isaiah Lee Email and Phone Number
I am currently an Aerospace Engineering major and I began my undergraduate studies in bio-engineering and pre-med as I was passionate about helping people. However, I always had an interest in Aerospace Engineering and this passion returned after being inspired by UMD's organ transport via drone delivery. Now, realizing the positive impact the aerospace industry can have, I am currently pursuing the Air Track in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Sustainability. In Summer 2024, I combined my love for aerospace and sustainability during my internship at UMD, where I designed more efficient wind turbines using CAD and CFD tools. This experience has been pivotal as I now lead the student organization "Wind TERPines" in the Collegiate Wind Competition hosted by the Department of Energy. Additionally, I am contributing my expertise to "Maryland Unmanned Aerial Systems (MUAS)" as we compete in the international Student Unmanned Aerial Systems (SUAS) competition.Currently, I am also working on an exciting capstone project—developing a hydrogen-gas-powered VTOL for the annual VFS VTOL competition. This involves 3D modeling and designing all components in CATIA, considering both aerodynamic and fuel constraints. My journey is about blending technical innovation with sustainability to push the boundaries of aerospace technology. I am eager to connect with like-minded individuals passionate about aerospace, sustainability, and engineering challenges that make a difference.
