My childhood is in debt to video games as a pastime, with countless hours allocated toward these forms of entertainment. Alongside my growth in playing video games, I’ve seen the development of the industry in technical and financial strides. Graphics and animation have vastly improved and accessibility has become more approachable. The current time in which creating games has never been more in reach. Ultimately, my intent to pursue Game Design is to eventually “pay off” my debt to video games. I want to cater to the next generation of young gamers to have that experience of appreciating video games as an art form for people to manifest their ideas into the videogame industry. For this to happen my journey begins with Drexel University, pursuing a major in Game Design. I am inspired my drive to be part of the video game industry’s legacy as people who want to appreciate video games as art.
