For two weeks, two summers in a row I mentored a large group of underprivileged, multicultural students from the surrounding La Crosse, Wisconsin area and the Milwaukee area as a camp counselor in the Mississippi River Summer Adventure Program.The first week of camp was the introductory camp for students in grades 7 - 9, and we stayed in the residential.
