Portfolio includes offices, schools, recreation centers, communication and data centers, fire, police, and other critical facilities.>> The Energy & Sustainability Division, with more than a dozen staff, administers the city's $100M budget for electricity, natural gas, water, and waste management.>> Architected landmark renewable energy purchases: 13MW onsite solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) across 50+ buildings; 46MW offsite wind PPA.>> Developed advanced energy procurement with site-level forecasts, risk management, and complex power supply contracts for 450k megawatt-hours.>> Led ‘Game Change,' a data-driven initiative that acquired and leveraged 15-minute interval data to analyze, design, and scope energy efficiency opportunities (both retrofits and optimized operations).>> Clean energy investments designed and executed for ~100 buildings; retrofits included advanced building controls, commissioning, lighting, envelope, HVAC. Helped create and run Access Green, a provider of home energy efficiency retrofits and weatherization. Accomplishments included:>> DC Chamber of Commerce's "Small Business of the Year">> Directed business strategy and contract acquisition. Notable business: various engagements (audits, envelope improvements, and lighting retrofits) via utilities PEPCO, DC SEU, BG&E, and SMECO; building commissioning in Maryland and Pennsylvania; DC Dept of Environment’s Home Energy Rater System; U.S. Department of Energy's Weatherization Assistance Program; private sector home retrofits. Also raised private investment capital in extremely difficult lending conditions in 2009; directed budget and financial planning.

Created and ran Green Builders Council of DC. An organization of 30 commercial contractors and builders, GBDC advocated for green building policies and executed clean energy pilot programs.>> Successfully advocated for public policies that spurred new green infrastructure investments.>> Developed and helped manage one of the largest green jobs training programs in the Mid-Atlantic, "Green Pathway DC", with Goodwill of Greater Washington. Acquired over $1.5M from US DOE and local agencies to fund program.>> Weatherized over 600 homes, with DC summer job participants, through DC Department of the Environment contract.>> Developed carbon neutrality program for member firms.
